Michael Berkowitz is a highly accomplished and well-respected commercial real estate professional. He is the President, CEO, and Founder of Colonial Commercial Real Estate LLC, a successful brokerage company that he established in 1989 and he owns 100%. Michael is also the President, Founder and Owner of Property Managers LLC, another company he formed to provide third-party property management services, which has grown to become a leading player in the industry, managing properties across Texas and as well as other states.

With a Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana , Michael's expertise encompasses investment analysis, development, construction, leasing, and management of commercial real estate. Throughout his 30+ years of experience, he has established himself as a top producer in the industry, receiving numerous awards and recognition, such as COSTAR's Top Broker Award and being named to the list of "Who's Who in Commercial Real Estate", and Real Estate Dealmakers by the Business Press and Fort Worth Inc. Magazine.  In the past three years, he has sold over 4,000,000 square feet of commercial property and has been instrumental in identifying and analyzing investment opportunities for his clients.

He has sold many major notable downtown Fort Worth buildings as well as many major shopping centers in the region and nationally and has always been the pulse of the local investment real estate market. Michael has also done consulting in the management of enclosed malls for national mall owners and enhanced their value by decreasing their expenses and lease up. He was responsible for securing the major tract of property located in the historic Fort Worth Stock Yards and was an owner and operated the stockyards for four years.

Michael is a member of several professional organizations, including the Greater Fort Worth Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has also given back to his community by serving on the board of various organizations, such as the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth & Tarrant County, where he is currently Vice President of Risk Management, and the Tulane University Alumni Admissions Committee, Building Committee of Colonial Country Club, American Heart Association, and YMCA of Tarrant County. In his free time, he enjoys being a member of Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth Boat Club, and Fort Worth Club.
